About Phill

The son of Irish immigrants, Phill was born and raised  in Astoria, Queens and still lives there with his wife and four grown children. At New York Law School, his excellent academic record earned him two scholarships, a coveted spot as articles editor on the school law review, and graduation with honors. He then went on to work in the finance and bankruptcy groups of two of the most prestigious law firms in the country: King & Spalding LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

For several years afterwards, Phill worked as managing attorney in law firms representing banks and creditors in foreclosure and bankruptcy actions. As such, he not only became well-versed in the strengths and weaknesses of the parties he now opposes, but he made hundreds of court appearances and became thoroughly familiar with the courts, judges, trustees and attorneys in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Now that he has opened up his own practice, Phill is using all his knowledge and experience to help his fellow New Yorkers get a fresh financial start while preserving their assets and investments. Whether it's saving your home in a foreclosure proceeding, settling your debt with credit card companies and debt collectors, navigating you through the bankruptcy process, or going to bat for you in a litigation proceeding, Phill is happy to be going to work for you!
